Step 1: Keep current with Best Practice (ongoing)

  • Research the literature about leadership effectiveness
  • Conduct our own research using our extensive database of outstanding leaders
  • Ensure our consultants are leading edge practioners
  • Identify industry challenges, issues and benchmarks

Step 2- Understand client needs

  • Review leadership development history and client’s current situation/issues
  • Interview key stakeholders
  • Conduct needs analysis and skills audit against desired competencies/capabilities
  • Consult existing client data, e.g. staff surveys, 360 degree feedbac, etc.

Step 3 – Plan the appropriate strategy

  • Clarify key projective objectives and “Leadership Ambition”
  • Define target audience and project scope
  • Establish links to existing organisational systems, e.g. performance management, competency or capability frameworks
  • Develop the project plan and timelines

Step 4 – Design the program

  • Design communications and key messages
  • Design the program content
  • Pilot the program and make refinements
  • Produce materials

Step 5 – Conduct the program

  • Interview or brief participants
  • Conduct program based on adult learning principles and action learning
  • Ensure transfer of learning to the workplace
  • Provide ongoing support

Step 6 – Evaluate impact

  • Design evaluation study and survey items
  • Conduct evaluation survey
  • Provide client with evaluation report identifying program enhancements
  • Follow up with participants to track ongoing learning transfer
